Four(5) weapon safety rules
-treat every weapon as if they were loaded
-never point your weapon at anything you don’t intend to shoot
-keep your fingers straight off the trigger until you are ready to fire
-keep the weapon on safe until you intend to fire
-know your target and what lays beyond and between

Deadly Force
A force that a person uses causing, that a person knows or should know, would create a substantial risk of death, serious bodily harm or injury
Two types of authorization
-Deadly force is authorized under extreme necessity, as a last resort when all lesser means have failed or can not be reasonably employed
-Deadly force will only be granted if it meets the justification criteria

First general order
To take charge of my post and all government property in view

To quit my post only when properly relieved

To call the corporal of the guard in any case not covered by instructions
Tenth general order
To be especially watchful at night and during times of challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and allow no one to pass without proper authority

Four authorization for non-lethal employment
- When there is reasonable belief that non-lethal force will not result in death or serious injury to the subject or others
- When there is reasonable belief that non-lethal force will be effective in controlling the situation
- When there is reasonable belief that non-lethal force will not result in the escalation of the situation to the point where deadly force would be required
- When verbal and visual warnings have not been effective in dealing with the danger or there is a reasonable belief that such warnings would be ineffective. Such warning need not be given, if there is reasonable belief that such warnings would subject protected personnel to additional risks

Hostile act
hostile attack is an attack or other use of force against any U.S. entity that could result in impeding the mission or the death or serious harm of US personnel
Hostile intent
hostile intent is any threat of imminent use of force by a foreign military or terrorist group against any U.S. entity I. e. showing a weapon or blockading an entrance exit to a compound

Lawful order
