What are the characteristics of standard fashion?
- these trends start, grow, evolve and decline gradually
- features change slightly from one season to the next
- minimal but constant change in silhouettes
- last between 2 and 3 years
What is the relationship between style and fashion?
- fashion is based on a specific style
- style only remains ‘fashion’ as long as it is accepted and worn by many
