– indoctrination of young people through schools and youth groups.
• OND (Dopolavoro) – an organisation which provided leisure activities for adults.
• Propaganda and censorship – Mussolini took personal control over the media and only journalists who were registered (and therefore acceptable) were able to write. Positive depictions of Mussolini
• The Cult of Il Duce – the use of a range of different media to promote the infallibility of Mussolini and his Fascist regime.
• Fascist culture – art, music and architecture was expected to promote Fascist principles.
• Repression and terror – use of the secret police (OVRA), Special Tribunals to try political prisoners, and the MSVN created a climate of fear in the country.
