25 knots total wind component
20 knot crosswind with 10 deg. or less flaps
15 knot crosswind with greater than 10 deg. of flaps
Breaking action requirements for solo fixed wing flights
Poor or better
Student pilot solo weather minimums:
- Traffic pattern
- Local flights
- Wind limits
Traffic pattern: 1,300 ft ceiling/5 mi. visibility
Local flights: 2,000 ft ceiling /7 mi. visibility
Wind limit: Each student’s logbook must contain a wind endorsement not to exceed 15 knots, along with a crosswind limit not to exceed 10 knots. Valid for 90 days
