Complex or loaded question
“Yes or no, Lexi, did you hit your brother, even though your bigger then him and you know better?”
Concessionary evidence
“Claire likes bacon” (no reasoning, granted she does, but still)
Fallacy of composition
“2 of Tess and Charlotte’s children get straight A’s so all of their 5 children get straight A’s”
Fallacy of division
“Zoey is one of Tess and Charlotte’s children, most of their kids are smart, so Zoey must be smart.”
Fallacy of slanting
"Lexi couldn't have been in that fight, 99% of the time she doesn't bite when she gets in fights" Lexi's fight stats: 100% wins 90% kicks 95% punches 1%bites Participants in 70% of fights at school
Generic Fallacy
If Charlotte is smart then Claire is equally smart because she is an offspring of Charlotte
Hasty generalization
“Lexi gets straight As, she must study a lot”
Naturalistic Fallacy
“We must need wisdom teeth for something, otherwise they wouldn’t exist.”
Non Sequitur
Lexi must be well behaved because she skipped a grade”
Pragmatic fallacy
“Unicorns have a great affect on Abby, so they must be real.”
