What does it mean when you are exploited
A
It means that some treat you unfairly. Overworked, underpaid, and treated badly.

What is Fairtrade
A
It is an international organization
Help farm producers in developing countries get better deals for their products
They demand companies pay better prices, which must never fall below the market price
They assist farmers by setting up groups that can work together. The groups are called co-operatives
Companies that sell products in a fair way are allowed to use the Fairtrade logo

What are some of the laws protecting people not being exploited in South Africa

Basic conditions of employment act. This act makes it illegal for people to work in dangerous conditions to be overworked or to be underpaid
