Herzberg’s view is that managers should seek to motivate people by giving them opportunities for achievement and they should recognize and celebrate improvement
job satisfaction is a key factor leading to motivation
motivation factors - achievement, recognition, responsibility, promotion - if these are present will lead to motivation
hygiene factors - salary, working condition, company policy, if present do not lead to motivation but if absent lead to dissatisfaction
