Locus (internal and external locus)
helps explain how people react to conflicts or challenges
internal locus- responsibility is you
external locus - responsibility is outside of you
Valence
how the things said or done affect how we feel about ourselves
temporality
how people manage their face by controlling when and how they choose to address a conflict
Restorative
repairing or restoring good feelings and respect after a negative or awkward situation
Preventative
is about being careful and taking step ahead of time to avoid causing problems or embarrassing someone
Face
an individuals sense of positive image
