The patient assists their affected side with their unaffected side as instructed by the therapist.
Functional Range of Motion
The minimum ROM needed to execute performance in essential areas of occupation without the use of special equipment.
The role of the OTA in joint measurement:
OTA MUST KNOW:
- The degree and type of motion that will occur at a specific joint.
- The average or normal ROM
- How to position herself and the patient during measurement.
Joint ROM measured by what and what planes?
measured by a Goniometer and motions body occur in 3 cardinal planes.
- sagittal
- forntal
- Horizontal
