F types of drawings and Blueprints Flashcards
Architectural plans
drawings that show the design of the project. also called architectural drawings
detail drawings
enlarged views of part of drawings used to show an area more clearly
Dimensions line
a line on a drawing with a measurement indicating length
Electrical plan
engineered drawings that show all electrical supply and distributions
Title Block
a part of a drawing sheet that includes some general information about the project
elevations drawings
side view of the building or object, showing height and width
HVAC
heating, ventilation and air conditioning
foundations plans
a drawing that shows the layout and elevations of the buildings foundations
isometric drawings
a type of three dimensional drawing of an object
Pictorial Drawings Name All 3
Obliques (45 degrees)
Isometrics (30 degrees, 30 degrees)
Perspective (how it looks through an eye or slanted diamond)
Hidden Lines
a dash line showing an object obstructed from view by another object
Floor plan
a drawing that provides an areal view of the layout of each room
Legend
a description of a symbol and abbreviations used in set of a drawing
Mechanical Plans
engineered drawings that show the mechanical systems, such as motors and piping
Scale
the ratio between the size of the drawing of an object and the sizes of the actual object
Schematic
a one line drawing showing the flow path for electrical circuitry
Specifications
precises written presentations of the detailed of a plan
Section drawings
a cross sectional view of a specific drawing showing the inside of the building
Block Diagrams
type of one-line diagram, shows components of an electrical circuit and interconnection between them. doesn’t go into great detail
in shematic diagrams, the electrical ______ are represented bu sumbols and identified with labels such as letters names or numbers
Devices
in a schematic diagram,______ are shown with a dot ( sometimes called a node)
Connections
the control devices are located on the _____ side of the schematic drawing while the load devices are located on the _____ side
Left, Right
a schematic diageam can also be called a ______diagram
Ladder
the schematic diagram shows the electrical circuit without regard to the physical location or actual _______ of the components
appearance
What drawings are normally found in a complete set of blueprints
Architectural, Electrical, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, (Riser?)
distorted view of an object to allow for a three- dimensional look, each side shows a single plane of the object
Orthographic Projections (six view points is standard)
Consists of Point-to-point diagrams and Highway (trunk-line) diagrams
Wiring diagrams
Shows relationship and connections between components. How power is distributed throughout.
Riser diagrams
What does a Block Diagram not show
Actual position or return path for a circuit
