F: Lighting Documentation Flashcards
- shows that location of the luminaires in the ceiling or even on the walls
- can be considered as a lighting plan
REFLECTED CEILING PLAN
lists the luminaires for a certain area or project
LUMINAIRE CUTSHEETS OR SCHEDULE
The symbols of each luminaire shall represent the general proportions, orientation shape of surface and pendant mounted luminaires and the aperture for recessed luminaires.
LUMINAIRE SYMBOLS
shall be simple and clear mostly using circles, squares and
rectangles and consistent in scale. Smaller apertures can be enlarged
for clarity when printed.
Symbols
widest range of sizes and options because there are a
lot of types of downlights available. Circular, square or rectangular can be used in lighting plans.
Downlight
includes track luminaires and generally
shows the direction of the focus using arrowheads, lines or other
indicators of direction.
Adjustable or Accent
can be symbolized by an arrow or half shaded symbol
(the non-shaded portion indicated the direction of the wall to be
washed).
Wall Wash
can be shown by lines or linear
elements where the size and orientation can also be determined.
Continuous Linear Luminaires
may or may not be shown on the RCP depending on the
complexity of the plan since it may overlap other symbols that are
actually on the ceiling.
