-Personality varies along 3 dimensions: neurotic-stable, extravert-introvert, psychoticism
-Typical criminal= neurotic-extravert
Neurotic leads to unpredictable behaviour and extraversion is due to under aroused NS which leads to sensation seeking
-Extraverts do not condition easily
-High psychoticism leads to cold, heartless offender

-Farrington et al (1982) meta-analysis and found offenders scored high on psychoticism but not extraversion and neuroticism and inconsistent evidence of difference on ECG measures between extraverts and introverts.
