What is the most common form of glaucoma?
A
Most common form: open-angle glaucoma

Open-angle glaucoma
A
Due to restricted drainage of the aqueous humour through trabecular meshwork leading to ocular hypertension

Open-angle glaucoma - treatment
A
- Treated with topical prostaglandin analogues (Latanoprost, tafluprost, travoprost or bimatoprost)
- If initial prostaglandin analogues hasn’t worked, try a different one
- If that doesn’t work, topical beta blocker: Betaxolol, levobunolol or timolol
- If that doesn’t work, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: Brinzolamide or dorzolamide Brimonidine and pilocarpine can also be used
