Discuss the main symptoms associated with blepharitis?
A
- Bilateral
- irritation,itching and burning of lid margins
- lid margins appear red and raw
- crusty debris, skin flakes and tearing
- worse in morning with eyelids seeming “stuck together”

Treatment options for blepharitis?
A
Hygiene (no cure and is chronic)
- baby shampoo diluted 1:10 with warm water + clean eyelid using cloth
- cleaned twice daily then once daily when symptoms improve
- eye makeup avoided
