x: decr night vision caused by congenital degeneration of retinal rods
yellow waxy disc is seen
retinitis pigmentosa
pop: children and young adults
Acute vs. open angle glaucoma
acute: block of humor flow
* halos around light
* uniateral
open: past hx of surgery or trauma
* peripheral field effected
* bilateral
X: vision loss (unilateral) lasting for a few min.
PE: ipsi carotid bruit
amaurosis fugax
hx: DM, HT, smoking
x: blind spots that come and go.
NCV: shows decr N condiction systemically
MS

x: unilateral central vision loss that is caused by:
primary: demyelination dz like MS
secondary: infection
