12
Q

what are the risk factors which can cause a maxillary antrum involvement

16
Q

how does a tuberosity fracture occur

A

single standing molar/unknown unerupted molar wisdom tooth
extracting in wrong order
inadequate alveolar support

17
Q

how do you diagnose if there is a tuberosity fracture

A

noise
movement noted visually or with supporting fingers
more than one tooth movement
tear on palate

18
Q

how do you manage a tuberosity fracture

A

dissect out and close wound or reduce and stabilise
use orthodontic buccal arch wire spot welded with composite
make a splint and splint teeth
remove/treat pulp
ensure occlusion free
antibiotic and antiseptics
instructions post op
remove tooth 8 weeks later
