1492-1504. Italian. Sons name is Diego. Made 4 voyages to West Indies and Caribbean Islands. Came to America first.

1519-1521. Spanish. Conquered Aztecs in Mexico.

- Spanish. Explored Florida looking for the Fountain of Youth.
Juan Ponce de Leon
- Spanish. Led expedition across Panama and found the Pacific Ocean.

- French. Traveled to the mouth of the Mississippi River and claimed it for France. Then came to New Orleans.
