Flame test
A
Clean nichrome wire by dipping in conc. HCL and holding it in the flame wet wire again with conc. HCL and pick up a sample of salt of the metal selected then hold it to the edge of a non-luminous Bunsen flame. Note the colour produced Sodium yellow Potassium lilac Lithium crimson Strontium red Barium yellow/green Copper blue-green
