During WW11 hundreds of black men joined the army in hopes there was no segregation but there is even in the army there will be segregation.

But due to the sheer cost of keeping blacks away from whites, Rosevelt issued Executive Order 8802 which said“There shall be no discrimination in the employment of workers in defence industries and in government because of race creed or national origin.

This was important because Executive Order 8802 had some effect as there was a 25% increase in those working in the iron an tell industry and the number of blacks employed in government service increased from 50000 to 200000.
