add a geotagged picture to a map
use OpenStreetMap as background:
- set coordinate system
- add background: QGIS-Browser -> XYZ-Tiles -> OpenStreetMap
- transformate to Germany Zone 2
- possibilities:
use Plugin: InsertPhotos
- PluginMenu
- ImportPhotos (as a shapefile .shp)
- double-click on the marked position in the map and eventually change symbology
use QGIS Tool: Open Toolbox -> Vector Creation -> Import Geotagged Photos (as .gpkg ?)
identify features : attribute form -> change widget

Access an image (without any location information) from Your MapDocument
Implement all steps in ordner to access the image via OpenStreetMap
Create a new point shapefile. (geometry type -> point)
Place the point. (toggle editing necessary)
Add name and directory to the attribute table.
Go to Layer Properties -> Attributes -> Directory.
Change Widget Type to Attachment.
Place a checkmark on “Use hyperlink for document path (read only)”
In “Integrated Document Viewer” change “Type”” to Image.
(use IdentifyFeatures-Button (oben “i” im Kringel mit Mauspfeil) )
Press “apply” an “ok”.
