Abdominal CT - enlarged kidney without cysts or masses
Renal biopsy - deposits of amorphous pink amyloid material within glomeruli, interstitium and arteries with HE stain
Multiple myeloma
High serum globulin, hypercalcaemia, enlarged kidney, recurrent infections (immunosupressed), amyloid deposition
Patient makes themself vomit due to an eating disorder
Cause of hypokalaemia
Increased kidney tubular potassium secretion (to correct acid-base balance, high bicarbonate levels)
