unique properties of corn starch, where it is used as the primary polymer in the manufacture of a biodegradable plastic material. - Plantic Technologies products can biodegrade within seven days and use 40% less energy than traditional plastic to manufacture and up to 50% less greenhouse gases, making the products attractive to firms and businesses looking to adapt to trend of sustainable products. Every tonne of ecoplastic produced saves 1 tonne of carbon dioxide production which is eqivaluant to 84 trees. When the eco plastic is disposed of, it can be put into landfill where it decomposes so even at the end of the cycle the benefits over tradition plastics contines
