- Mrs Lyons attempting to stab Mrs Johnstone in Skelmersdale - adds drama + creates tension going forward as we are surprised by Mrs L strong reaction.
- Mickey shooting Eddie and them being on the floor dead - Creates tension beforehand and then would shock an audience.
What would you communicate and how if you were acting as Eddie?
His posture and gesture - upright and well to-do.
The way he talks - a posh accent and uses sophisticated vocabulary.
His clothing- shirts and shorts with posh looking jumpers.
What would you communicate and how if you were acting as Mickey?
His strong scouse accent and possibly his bigger clothes due to hand me downs.
How would you create mood and atmosphere as an actor for Mickey?
He is awkward and shy towards Linda when in his teenage years.
Once he comes out of prison he is very depressed and struggles to cope and do everyday things.
How would you create mood and atmosphere as an actor for Eddie?
He is fun and eager to make friends early on.
In his teenage years he would act as unaware of lots of the problems for working class people.
He is presented as successful professional in act 2.
How would you create mood and atmosphere when Eddie is killed by Mickey?
Use music, rising in volume to highlight how key the scene is and to highlight the tension within it. Make the police and Mickey shout so all the audience hear is loud noise. Also have Mickey and Eddie far apart to show the difference between them.
