When evaluating the effectiveness of drug(s), what are some general points to make?

• Compare the efficiency to a control using data given
• Are there any standard deviation bars, if so do they show the differences are significant?
• Has a stats test been carried out to determine significance?
• Have they looked at any long-term effects or side effects?
• How large is the sample size?
• Is the sample on the correct organism, have they done human tests or only mouse for example?
