What’s narcissism?
Selfishness, involving a sense of entitlement, a lack of empathy, and a need for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.
What’s the meaning of the word sacrament?
A religious ceremony or ritual regarded as imparting divine grace, such as baptism, the Eucharist and (in the Roman Catholic and many Orthodox Churches) penance and the anointing of the sick.
What’s agape in Christianity?
The fatherly love of God for humans, as well as the human reciprocal love for God. In Scripture, the transcendent agape love is the highest form of love.
What’s marriage?
A God-ordained, covenant relationship between two people.
What’s Trinity?
The Christian Godhead as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
What’s sexism?
Prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against woman, on the basis of sex.
What’s distributive justice?
Distributive justice concerns the socially just allocation of resources, goods, and opportunity in a society. It’s concerned with how to allocate resources fairly among a society, taking into account factors such as wealth, income, and social status.
What’s a prophet?
A person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God.
What’s reciprocity?
The practice of exchanging things with others for mutual benefit, especially privileges granted by one country or organization to another.
What’s atheism?
Disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.
What’s incarnation?
A person who embodies in the flesh a deity, spirit, or abstract quality.
What’s love-of-self?
Regard for one’s own well-being and happiness (chiefly considered as a desirable rather than narcissistic characteristic).
What’s Catholicism?
The faith, practice and church order of the Roman Catholic Church.
What’s grace?
The divine influence which operates in humans to regenerate and sanctify, to inspire virtuous impulses, and to impart strength to endure trial and resist temptation.
What’s a vice?
An immoral or evil habit or practice.
What’s individualism?
The habit or principle of being independent and self-reliant.
What’s the Torah?
(In Judaism) the law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures (the Pentateuch).
What’s chastity?
The state or practice of refraining from extramarital, or especially from all, sexual intercourse.
What’s a covenant?
A formal alliance or agreement made by God with a religious community or with humanity in general.
What’s vocation?
A strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation.
What does secular mean?
Not subject to or bound by religious rule; not belonging to or living in a monastic or other order.
What are parables?
A simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.
What does ‘God’ mean?
The creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.
What are rites?
A religious or other solemn ceremony or act.
What’s sexuality?
A person’s identity in relation to the gender or genders to which they are typically attracted; sexual orientation.
What are the chosen people?
The Jewish people considered (in Jewish and Christian tradition) as having been selected by God for a special relationship with him.
