Birth Control pills and skin
Esties often see women with acne flare ups who just started a birth control. The change in hormone levels affects sebum production. LOW ESTROGEN PILLS CAN AGGRIVATE ACNE, ESTROGEN DOMINANT PILLS TEND TO IMPROVE ACNE PRONE SKIN. More modern birth control pills have less hormones and are creating less of an acne problem. Both starting and stopping pills can throw off your hormones and make acne worse. Give it some time to even out and get better after starting or stopping. Routine flare ups need to be referred to a physician…if on birth control.
