Darwinian Factor

Difficulty Factor
Counseling is too frustrating to deal with and can be too time consuming. It may just be easier to hand the problems over to a therapist and simply pray for the counselee. Conflict is better off being avoided
Disease factor
Sin was labeled as an ordinary sickness, rather than a spiritual issue to be dealt with. No pathology involved to help with decision. Excuses are made for sin and it is overlooked
Defamation Factor
Counseling is viewed as a subhead of church discipline. Church believed in the medical model over the BC model and eventually backed down from responsibility.
Disorganization Factor
Failed to systemize and jeopardized biblical counseling within the church. Failed to initiate organized plan of execution within the church.
BIBLICAL COUNSELING
The spirit filled loving application of the WHOLE counsel of the word of God, to the WHOLE problem of mankind. (Whether spiritual or physical) with the aim of bringing about a life transforming response that conforms the counselee to the image of CHRIST!

ROGERIAN METHOD
The idea of attaining therapy via self reflection methods. His style of counseling involved parroting/mirroring the counselees issues in order to enhance and advance a better state of self awareness.

FREUDIAN METHOD
The key element is shifting blame to environmental stimuli to justify actions

Mans behavior is shaped and conditioned by the activity within his direct environment.

MASLOW THEORY
Ontological flavored theorist who sought to examine the science of being and a way to navigate oneself through a chronological sequence of spiritual reason and satisfaction. The goal of his pyramid scheme was to assist people with finding their highest potential self through a self examination of needs.
