World is viewed as holding different opinions, rights and values (5)
What is ‘universal ethical principles’ and what stage is it?
Moral reasoning based on abstract reasoning using universal ethical principles (6)
What is the pre conventional stage?
common in children this level judges morality of an action by its direct consequences
What is the conventional stage?
adolescents and adults. Judges morality of actions by comparing them to societies views
What is the post conventional stage?
growing realisation that individuals are separate entities from society
