document “Telephone Order,” date, time, physician’s name, and your signature. Physician must counter sign within 24 hours. RN can take TOs but students may NOT.
verbal order
document “Verbal Order,” date time, physician’s name and your signature. Physician must counter sign within 24 hours. Used in emergent situations. RN can take VOs but students may NOT.
