Tanner staging

When should you worry about precocious puberty?

When should you worry about delayed puberty?
If the patient has absence of signs of puberty at an age 2 to 3 standard deviations above the mean age of onset of puberty
What defines precocious puberty in girls and boys?
Girls- breast development before the age of 8
Boys- testicular enlargement before the age of 9
