Stones at first imitated the clean cut pop oriented look of the Beatles with matching suits but soon adopted a more surly, menacing, sexual image. Andrew Oldham their manager was instrumental in marketing their bad boy image. Hedonism, drug busts and bad behavior became a part of their mythology–> mis increased popularity
