What is the Buddha Tree?
It was the tree that Buddha was under when he reached enlightenment and fully understood how the world works and is interconnected.
What is the Reign of God?
It is the belief in Christianity that one day the new order will come and bring in the reign of God into the world.
What is Enlightenment?
It is the goal of Buddhism to reach enlightenment or in other words gain a full understand of how the world really works by overcoming ignorance and selfish tendencies.
What are the Four Noble Truths?
It contains Buddha’s beliefs on how to overcome suffering. With the first of the truths stating that there is suffering in the world and second that the suffering is caused by people wanting things for themselves. So, his solutions are to stop focusing so much on oneself and follow his eightfold path to reach enlightenment.
What is Tanha?
It is a part of Buddha’s second noble truth and is one’s sense of greed or selfishness.
What is Samsara?
It is what Buddha describes as someone returning to the real world after being enlightened.
What is a Non-Theist?
Non-theist is someone who believes in spirituality but does not believe in a definitive God.
What is a Atheist?
An atheist is someone who does not believe in any sort of spiritual power since they believe in the world that can be scientifically measured.
What is Sunyata?
It is a term that encompasses the Buddhist belief that everything in interconnected as anatta or no things rather than individuals.
What is Buddhist non-duality?
It describes the relationship between what is material and spiritual. Particularly for Buddhism it describes the relationship between emptiness and form. Where they are not each other but both of the concepts are not separate from each other either.
What is Christian non-duality?
It illustrates the relationship between creator and creation. Or more specifically, that the two are interrelated to each other in the sense that one cannot exist without the other.
What is Dependent Origination?
It is the Buddhist understanding about how everything in the world was created by other things in the world meaning that all things have dependence on others.
What is Asymmetrical reciprocity?
It is a concept that is used to describe how things need and rely on each other. It is not an equal balance as one needs the other more. A concept that appears in Christianity between God or the creator relying on the creation to maintain that title and compared to the creation needs the creator to exist.
What is hypostatic union?
The term describes how Jesus Christ was a human while also encompassing some spiritual traits. It explores how two things that traditionally would seem impossible to both be true can be.
What does the Cross of Jesus represent?
It is a symbol that serves as reminder of how Jesus has suffered for the people and understands what it is like to feel pain.
