A

the nature of Jesus’ lineage as royalty. He connects Jesus’ lineage with priestly and prophetic figures in Israel’s history. the genalogy is listed in the beginning of the first chapter. Women are not normally named in ancient genealogies

A

the literary relationship between the gospels. much of matthew and luke shows up in mark. scholars discuss how this might have happened and what document is most likely to be written first (and which one used which for a source)
