Sensory receptors
specialzied neurons that respodn to specific types of stimuli

the mininum difference in stimuli required to detect a change or a difference betw

Top down perception
perceptions based on knowledge, known experiences, and thoughts.
Bottom down perception
perceptions based on sensory input. just what you see and can differ widely depending on different senses
you get used to some things where your sensors don’t pick up them anymore

when your focused on something really hard you can ignore stuff
