No anti-inflammatory activity

2-3 (325mg) T Q4-6H

OR
440mg; max 400mg in any 8-12 hr period
Glucosamine
500mg TID
Slow onset of pain relief 4-6 months for full effect; 6-8 weeks to see results
Chondroitin
400mg TID
Maintain viscosity of joints, stimulate cartilage repair, inhibit degradation
INCS
2 sprays in each nostril QD; titrate to 1 spray
Cromolyn Sodium
1 spray in nostril 3-4x/day; max 6x/day
mast stabilizer
Diphenhydramine
25-50mg Q 4-6H
for cough –> 25mg Q4H

25-50mg prior to bedtime
Melatonin
insomnia –> 0.3mg-8mg PO 30-60 min prior to bed
Jet lag –> 2-5mg on day of arrival at night on day of arrival and 2-5 days after
Don’t use if using MAOI’s or SSRI’s, anticoags
Caffeine
100-200mg Q3-4H; max 600mg/day
200mg max as single dose considered safe
