Define nature
The living things, the ecosystems and the process that form them and the places in which we find all of these.

A term that refers to the earths BIOSPHERE (all living things on earth)

Areas of permanent infrastructure designed to support higher population densities such as cities and towns
Define wilderness
An environment that is big, remote and untouched by humans
Define protected areas
Areas that have a process of protecting, preserving and managing the environments
Define motivations
A reason or reasons for why we do something
Understand Mother Nature
Women were the bearers and nurturers of children, so ecosystems and other living things were seen from a female specific perspective
Understand urban/built environment
They recreate the natural environment for example indoor rock climbing
Positives- being able to train all year round, easy to get to
Negatives- costs, ruins the biodiversity of nature, ruins our outdoor experiences
Importance and benefits of nature
Health- getting fresh air, physical activity, hospital story.
Child development- imaginative play, physical (motor skills), socialisation, cognitive development (brain development)
