Q

What are exact numbers?

A

ANY number that has no uncertainty with it

45
Q

What are some examples of defined numbers?

A

There are exactly 12 eggs in a dozen, things that DO NOT have to be measured

46
Q

What are inexact numbers?

A

ANY number that has a degree of uncertainty or has to be measured

47
Q

What are some examples of inexact numbers?

A

23.234, 0.0964, ANYTHING that needs a measuring tool

48
Q

How can you tell if a number is a significant figure or not?

A

ALL NONE zeros (98.765)
IF zeros are sandwiched in between two non zero numbers than they are significant figures (7.80097
Leading zeros ARE NOT significant figures (0.0099)
IF trailing zeros HAVE a decimal point then they are significant figures (985.000) BUT IF NOT then they are NOT significant figures (987,000)

49
Q

Density = WHAT?

A

Density = Mass/Volume
