Opposed religious beliefs/fossil record incomplete/science of inheritance not yet developed.
How can we prevent extinction?
Educate people/captive breeding/fund underdeveloped countries/International agreements to prevent climate change and habitat destruction/store seeds in seed banks.
What are the causes of extinction?
New organisms out compete other organisms for food/climate change/disease/destruction of habitat/hunting/natural disasters.
What is the importance of biodiversity?
Plants used to make medicine/hunting reduces the gene pool/pollination
