Judicial notice appropriate when facts indisputable or verified through scientific principals

First must look at if criminal or civil case:
o Criminal: Judge tell jury that they MAY accept the fact judicially noticed
o Civil: Fact judicially notices is conclusively established

Facts judicially noticed:
• Facts generally known within the territorial jurisdiction of the court
• Capable of accurate and ready determination by resort to sources whose accuracy cannot reasonably be questioned
• Records of any state or federal court
