What does ACS describe
this is a blanket term that refers to anytime heart is not getting enough O2
common ACS symptoms
-referring o chest, pressure, pain, discomfort, or in epigastrium (upperchest)
-dyspnea
-impending doom
-sudden sweating onset
-bradycardia
-tachycardia
-palpitations
when do you repeat NTG
-get med direction first (i think)
-t exp no relief or only partial relif
-systolic bp remains greater than 90 to 100 systolic
-med direction authorizes another dose of medicaiton
what is the max NTG dosage
3, if they already took up to two, you can give them another one

-pt complains of chest pain
-has history of cardiac problems
-has it with em and is prescribed
