Ankle buckles and can’t hold relevés long
Training programme (not pointe)
20 ankles circles, relevés and flex and points. Twice on each foot
After 2 weeks make 30 of each, 3 times on each foot
Training programme (pointe)
10 rises, relevés in fifth and relevés to retiré. Twice on each foot
After 2 weeks. 20 each, three times on each
How to re-evaluate
Video pirouettes and pointe, see if stable and on balance
Time how long can hold retirés
Feel if as difficult and uncomfortable as before training programme started
Technical weakness effect on higher solo after training programme
Pirouettes, held positions and rises would be stronger
Jumps powerful and high
Make overall more precise and powerful
Why is ur strength a strength
strong turnout from hips to feet. Key need for ballet and lays foundation for other steps e.g. rands de jambes, arabesque, pliés
Makes me able to focus on other aspects

Helped to hold deep pliés in contemporary solo and open positions including rise into retiré very turned out leg.

Contemporary on pointe. Had pirouettes, high kicks and relevés

Strong ankles, no wobbles. Turns on balance (chaines and pirouettes). Rises were controlled and fluid

High kick- fast up, slow down. More impactful.
Dynamics were varied and made movements more exciting and interesting

Moves on beat eg clicked fingers
moved though music at times too
