A

The approach’s theories can be tried and tested under strict lab conditions. For example , brain scans are used to pinpoint brain function to help researchers to look into the effected area

A

CBT has been used to help people with depression

Piaget (1970) also applied cognitive approach theories to school , claiming that children learn diffrently to grown ups. Which is still used in primary schools to this day

The Cognitive approach removes the choice we have and instead it claims that we are slaves to our thought processes, schemas and sterotypes. Meaning that all our behaviour hangs on these assumptions
