What are the 2 types of Progressive Evacuation?

A

1) PRIMARY EVACUATION ZONE.
For confirmed fire consider evacuating the immediate area around the fire compartment. (This should be underway within non-flat premises due to expectance of fire alarm system)

The zone will ordinarily consist of compartments that open into the same section of protected corridor as the affected compartment.

2) SECONDARY EVACUATION ZONE. Dependant on resources and could involve the evacuation of areas that may be affected , or anticipated to be affected by fire i.e. compartments directly above the fire floor.
