Way we treat people can affect next generation - she was pregnant.

Emphasises her higher morality.
Further highlights corruption of upper class.
Illustrated in positive light, P presents socialist ideas of equality.

‘She had far too much to say - so she had to go’

A

Reveals she was not afraid to speak up for more £ - consequently she was dismissed.
Capable of being leader - suggested threat to Mr B, doesn’t want to be seen as weak, manipulated by lower class –> reputation.

‘Had’ - suggests that was her only option, forced onto her, no choice.
Without work, her prospects declined.
‘Something else’ - euphemism for prostitution.
