Q

argument against using agape to justify euthanasia

A

‘do to other what you would have them do to you’

someone may euthanise another person because they would want to be euthanised themselves in that situation- but we cannot assume the person wants to be euthanised

agape is subjective

Q

William Barclay x situation ethics

A

gives humans a dangerous amount of freedom
too much freedom= too much power = leads us to be selfish and cruel

if given freedom to do what we want, we will choose the selfish thing over the loving thing
