What are the advantages of EU membership?

A

3 million British jobs are linked with trade in the Eu. Cooperation between countries has improved our environment.
The development of the EU has meant that large scale conflict such as the 2nd war has never occurred.
Catching a plane is easier, cheaper flights. We can now move freely across Europe.
We can be educated, work and retire in other countries and expect the same treatment.
The EU given protection to workers and human rights, which the British government would never have agreed to.

What are the disadvantages of EU membership?

A

Trade in the EU is not a level playing field, some government still give their companies illegal subsides.
The EU is undemocratic, the parliament has no influence over policy.
CAP is expensive for the consumer, and it stops us from importing food from LEDC countries.
Four out of five of our laws come from Europe. We should govern ourselves.
If we stay in the EU, we, would have little control over our boarders and armed forces.
Being in the EU means giving over all our natural and financial resources to be used by unelected bodies.
