Why was the “Middle Ages” called the dark ages?
Because it was a constant war and because of the lack of trade and education and bc people were calling each other kings and there was no final kingdom/ empire.
What is the thing that most people live near? And how is it useful?
Rivers or Waterways
Agricultures, Transportation, Crops, food and drink.
Whats the major geographic difference between northern and southern Europe?
Southern Europe has more of a peninsula with coastal plains or in river valleys where the land was flat enough to farm?
Northern Europe farther from the sea, they had easier method of transportation bc of rivers.
How did the Christianity impact the middle ages?
Christianity impacted the middle ages by giving the people hope and courage that God is within them and wants to be by there side.
Why is northern Europe so much more warmer then it should be?
bc the north Atlantic drift bringing warmer water from the ocean and winds.
Who was St. Patrick and what is his story?
He was a person who got kidnapped and brought to Britain where he was treated like a slave when he was asked to be a sheep herder, and then had a vision about him escaping then he unexpectedly ran away, got on a boat, and came back to his home town somewhere in Rome then went back to Britain bc he realized how bad of a kingdom it was so then he spread Christianity
Who are the monks, and what do they do?
religious men who lived in isolated communities apart from society.
What were the monks community’s called?
Monasteries

He was the leader of the Franks and also expanded the Roman empire while conquering it. He also was crowded emperor of the romans.
