Q

Describe the nuclear envelope structure & function

A
  1. Double membrane
  2. Perforated by pores
  3. Pore complex proteins control entry/exit
  4. Webbing (nuclear lamina) provides shape

All in all, it acts as a gatekeeper, regulating protein & RNA movement
