Professional Review Board
review, investigate, rule on any alleged infractions of the Code, rules, and/or other standards adopted by the Institute
• investigates alleged infractions of the Code, rules and other standards
• issues private and public censures
• issues suspension or termination of the right to use designation
• considers and proposes amendments to the Code
• develops and adopts procedures for the fair and expeditious hearing of matters that come before it
• composed of six members who have held designation for at least 2 years; staggered three-year terms
Certification Requirements
- Experience – 5 years
- Education – education program and CE (40hrs every 2yrs, 2hrs of ethics included)
- Exam – pass certification exam
- Ethics – acceptable regulatory history

- Act in the best interest of the client
- Disclose services offered/provided, related charges/compensation (direct, indirect, deferred)
- Disclose actual/potential/perceived conflicts of interest, work to resolve and manage such conflicts

- Maintain confidentiality of client information consistent with legal/firm policies
