What are the four points of the Georgetown mantra?
Autonomy- Respecting the patients’ right to decide.
Beneficence- To act for the benefit of the patient
Non- maleficence- To prevent harm coming to a patient
Justice- The impact of the decision on others.
Explain Kantianism.
The end does not always justify the means: It doesn’t matter how amazing the end goal would be. If it takes suffering to reach it, it is never worth it.
Utilitarianism
Maximum happiness principle- It doesn’t matter what the method is if the end goal will have a greater impact.
